Who doesn’t love free stuff?

I know I sure do love free stuff. This whole website is dedicated to free traffic, so why not add a bit more value and give you offers for other internet marketing products and services that happen to be free? This is a HUGE deal, believe me. I’ll be adding to this as often as I find new free products that I think might be useful to you as an internet marketer.

Earn Commissions From Free Stuff!

Wait… you can earn money by giving stuff away for free? You better believe it! Most free products have what is called a One Time Offer, or an OTO. These OTO’s, after getting your information, give you an offer to purchase something pretty amazing at a discounted price. It is always related to the product or service you’re buying, it is always very high in value, and it is always comparatively lower in cost. More often than not, these offers are amazing deals that you could not possibly hope to get anywhere else. If the one time offer sounds like it could help you increase your sales, then by all means check it out. I make sure that every one of these products have a 100% money back guarantee on their OTO’s. That way you can purchase the OTO, and if you don’t like it, you can always get a refund.

I Will Sell For You!

Now, not everyone will buy from these OTO’s. However, a percentage of those that sign up for the free packages will make a purchase, and you can earn commissions from that sale. Guess what? I will sell for you! I’m not crazy, I really want to over deliver when it comes to this service. When I send out an email informing people about a newly added freebie, I will give them a link back to an FTW review page. On that page is a special piece of code that will allow the site to tell who the original referrer was. If it was you, then your affiliate link will be shown. What this means is that I’m advertising a product, to my own list, but you can make the sale! On top of that, I give away random referrals FOR FREE!

I Am Shooting Myself in the Foot For You!

I could sit back and recommend these products to you, and some of you would buy from me and I could make a ton of money. That’s all completely true. However, I don’t need it. I don’t just want you to earn some money, I want you to become so excited about this program that you can’t help but tell everyone you know about us. I want to over deliver to the point to where it’s nearly suicidal to my business. Look, on this site, I’m on equal footing with all of you. I, the owner, have the same potential to earn that all of you do.

If you’re not a member yet, then you have got to realize the potential by now. Check out the FTW System for more information or click here to join FTW for FREE!

Kicking Off the Freebies With a Doozie!

The GWA Autoresponder is an amazing Wordpress Plugin that can allow you to start building a list immediately! Every internet marketer will tell you “The money is in the list.” and it’s totally true. I didn’t even make a dime in internet marketing until I started building a list. This plugin is actually what I use for this very site to keep in contact with my list. I could be paying upwards of $19 every month for similar services. But why should I pay for something that I can get for free? The answer, I SHOULDN’T! and neither should you.
Click here for more information on how you can get your own Free Autoresponder.

Keep You Eyes Peeled

I’ll be adding to the freebies section whenever I find a new free product that might be of interest to internet marketers. If you’re not already a member, I suggest joining now so that you can stay up to date with these. Seriously, you just can’t beat free stuff.

The Money Is In The List!

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard an internet marketer tell me “The money is in the list.” My experience is that they are totally right. In fact, I never made a single dime until I started building a list of emails that I could market to.

The main problem is that list management software is fairly expensive. I’ve seen such programs run as much as $247! Even the cheaper options tend to be around $19 per month… and increase in price to as much as $147 per month depending on the size of your list.

This can be quite discouraging to those who are new to internet marketing or otherwise have low budgets. Often, it can take months before your career starts to take off. Until then, can you afford to pay a monthly fee for maintaining a list THAT YOU BUILT?

Why Pay For What You Can Get For Free?

Er… actually, you shouldn’t pay for something that you could get for free. If you could get a fully featured autoresponder ready to start capturing leads, distributing valuable information, keeping up a mailing list, and making back-end sales… and do it all for free, then why should you pay a monthly fee to maintain YOUR LIST? I sure don’t.

The only limitation to the GWA Autoresponder is that it is actually a plugin for the popular blog content management system, Wordpress. However, if you know anything about search engines, you know they LOVE BLOGS! In fact, I would encourage anyone and everyone to get a blog and start filling it with useful content. Heck, this entire site is run on Wordpress! So there’s not much of a reason to call this a disadvantage.

The plugin is in BETA right now, so it still has a few kinks in it. However, the programmer behind this is amazing. This plugin has come a long way since I first saw what it could do and I’m completely amazed at the development speed. Gary is a very intelligent person and he is very quick to fix bugs, add features, and offer support. Even in BETA, it blows the competition out of the water. AND IT’S ALL FREE!

Are You Serious About Internet Marketing?

The fact of the matter is, if you’re going to be serious about internet marketing, you NEED to get an autoresponder. Why not get one for free?

I’m sure you’ve heard the phrase “it takes money to make money”. But what if you don’t have any money to start your internet marketing career? Well, luckily there are several ways to make money on the internet without spending any money. The easiest would be affiliate marketing advertised on free traffic services. Especially if you target the average free traffic user. I hate to say it, but you can make a lot of money selling people products that promise to get them more traffic. However, you need to do several things to make it work.

Research, research, research the products you want to sell. Find good Click Bank products that are doing really well and have a low refund rate. A good indicator of a high refund rate is a product where the average $earned is lower than the $commission paid. CBEngine is great for finding solid products.

Make a unique landing/splash page. This should either be a short testimonial/review/comparison and an affiliate link, or a short testimonial/review/comparison and an opt-in form.

Target your market, because they won’t target you. Figure out what problems they have, and tell them how this product will solve those problems. As a good example, this website targets free traffic users, see our signup splashpage that specifically targets this demographic by clicking here (Opens in a new window).

You have to be unique to stand out, that’s why the landing page is an absolute must. There are a wealth of free hosts out there, not all of them require that you have ads on your pages either.
If you choose the opt-in feature, then you have the opportunity to continue to email them products that you suggest will “solve their problem”. If you have a blog, I suggest you use the GWA Autoresponder. Not only is it free, but it’s also very powerful.

Now, there is an honest and a slightly dishonest way to choose a product. Keep in mind that we’re not spending any money, so we can’t actually purchase a product to review it. Here you’ve got two options:

You can choose to review a free product, which has a One Time Offer (which you can earn from). The great thing about this is that you only have to review the free offer, the One Time Offer sells itself, a portion of the people who you refer to the free offer should buy.

The second (and a little bit dishonest) option is that you can choose a paid product, but not buy it, and fake a review based off of their testimonials. I suggest you go with the first simply to maintain your reputation. However, if you choose to go with this option, I suggest you think of yourself as a paid endorser and a salesperson. Not every salesperson or paid celebrity has actually used the products they endorse, they sell things because they’re paid to, that’s it.

It really is possible to earn income online without spending any money. However, you should expect to spend quite a bit of time. Nothing is free, ever. There is always a cost to everything that we receive. If you’re going to use free traffic services, then I suggest you work smart, not hard. The fact that you’re here on Free Traffic Works already suggests you’re interested in working smart.

If you enjoyed this post, have something to add, and especially if you have other methods of earning for free, then by all means, bombard the comment box below.

As a native Texan, I’m really tickled to see a traffic exchange with a country theme. BootScootin Traffic is chuck full of funny references to southwestern culture. But it’s not just a novelty, this traffic exchange really delivers.

Advantages:

Dynamic surf ratio starting at 2:1 for free members.

Simple anti-cheating system insures that real people are looking at your pages.

Very fast moving traffic, I was able to start getting traffic immediately.

Banner and text link ads.

Downline building tools.

Pre-written promotions to help launch your referral campaigns.

Video Training.

Earn commissions on both upgrades and credit purchases

Earn credits by playing the occasional game.

They’ve got some really funny illustrations that pop up every once in a while. It’s a nice break from all the ads to just read a comic and laugh a little. Great feature.

Disadvantages:

Untargeted traffic.

The surf page resizes the browser window, that’s one of my biggest pet peeves. There’s no reason for it. No website should ever resize your browser window, ever. This is a very common problem with this particular TE line.

Those two disadvantages sure do look minor in comparison to the wealth of advantages there are to joining. I was very impressed with this exchange and I’ll certainly be adding it to my arsenal. Call me culturally biased, but I really got a hoot out of BootScootin Traffic.

Tabbed browsing refers to use of internet browsers which allow multiple tabs to be opened, each showing different pages. The use of tabbed browsing while surfing traffic exchanges has bee somewhat of a controversy over the last few years. The reason is that it allows people to surf multiple exchanges at the same time and could arguably ignore the member’s ad pages altogether. I however, do not believe that they are a detriment to the traffic exchange community and actually encourage their use.

Firefox is an excellent browser for this use. Although internet explorer does now offer tabbed browsing, I have found firefox to be faster, more reliable, and more secure.

Advantages to tabbed browsing:

Faster credit accrual. You can earn credits in multiple exchanges at the same time. The average surfer can earn about 600 pageviews per day surfing only 5 exchanges for 1 hour.

No waiting for loading pages or timers. You can quickly look at an offer, and if you don’t like it, move on.

Some exchanges have promotions such as Super Surf, which gives you 10% more credits for surfing five exchanges at the same time.

Rules for tabbed surfing:

While the actual accepted number of exchanges to surf at a time isn’t set in stone. The general consensus is that five is a generally acceptable number. More than that and it starts to seem a bit like cheating.

Actually look at the websites that are being displayed. Otherwise it defeats the purpose. I’m not asking that you sign up for every one of them, but that you actually look at them with more than a passing glance.

Now, I mentioned earlier that the average surfer could earn 600 visits every day for just 1 hours worth of work. It’s totally true and here’s how I arrived at this conclusion:
pages surfed = (timer length)/3600 (which is the number of seconds in an hour)
Visitors = (pages surfed)*(exchange ratio)*(number of exchanges surfed at a time)
The average timer is 15 seconds and the average exchange ratio is 2:1 or 0.5. When you do the math, that comes out to 600 visitors for just one hours worth of work. Now, in reality, your results will vary, but the math is sound. Imagine if you did this every day for 30 days. That’s 18,000 visitors a month!

The strategy has real potential if you don’t abuse it. Remember, if you abuse it, the traffic exchange owners will become wise to the abuse and will ban you from their sites. They may also reprogram their exchanges so that they do not allow tabbed browsing.

Use tabbed browsing responsibly and keep up that surfing.

This is an amazing day in traffic exchange history. Owners of five different traffic exchanges have come together to help out every member of each service. Robert Puddy, Paul Kinder, Soren Jordansen, John Olsen, Dan Smith and Kyle Hoskins have all gotten together and created amazing cooperative script.

It’s fairly simple actually. All of these traffic exchanges have a special script in their surfbars that lets them know when you’re surfing the other Super Surf exchanges. If you surf all 5 exchanges at the same time, you can earn 10% more credits for every pageview!

The exchanges involved are:
Traffic-Splash
Dragon Surf
I Love Hits
Magnify Taffic &
Advertising Know How
All of which are excellent exchanges in their own right. Now more effective than ever.

You really can’t loose. This is an excellent opportunity to increase the number of credits you earn with each service with little more effort than you where before. If you’re not sure how to surf all these services at the same time, I would suggest you look into tabbed browsing. It can really make a world of difference.

Dynamic exchange ratio. Free members start out at 3:1. However, the more they surf, the higher the ratio. You can also set goals and get the next days ratio increased by a variable percentage. This is unbelievably powerful, and really encourages people to surf more.

Strong anti-cheating measures. You actually have to do some basic addition to proceed to the next site. The answers range from 2-9, so it’s not that difficult.

Contests and games to earn things from referrals, credits, and increased exchange ratios.

Fast traffic distribution. I was getting traffic almost immediately.

Disadvantages:

Untargeted Traffic

With all those advantages, it really dwarfs out the one disadvantage. Magnify Traffic is a good solid choice when it comes to traffic exchanges. They are certainly worth checking out.

This is yet another fun and free traffic exchange. I have put off reviewing it for some time with no real reason. Now, with the creation of the super surf script I just had to join. I am actually very glad that I did. Advertising Know-How is a great traffic exchange. I’ve been missing out this whole time.

Advantages:

Super Surf

Easy navigation, simply click where it tells you to, no matching or math required.

Several Strong and varied anti-cheating measures. The visits to your site are definitely real people.

Random referrals, even for free members. This means you can build your downline without even advertising your affiliate link!

Very fast traffic distribution. I was able to get traffic from them almost immediately.

Build your own list. Yep, you have the option to have your list building form shown to those who sign up under you. If you’re going to be building a list, why not build your own?

Very fun. The owner, Robert Puddy, has a great sense of humor. I just played a game where I got to throw tomatoes at him while I waited on the timer. I didn’t earn any credits… but I must have lobbed at least 50. No offense Robert… but it’s a fun game.

There are also games that allow you to win extra credits and they pop up fairly often… although I still wish I could earn credits for lobbing tomatoes. ^_^

Disadvantages:

Untargeted traffic

3:1 surf ratio, which is a little low, but not terrible. The best thing is that the super surf feature does make this go up if you surf all of the five traffic exchanges in the group at once.

All in all, I really like this traffic exchange. It’s simple and easy to use and on top of that, it’s fun. Advertising Know-How is certainly worth checking out.

This brand new traffic exchange certainly has some potential. I was impressed with how smooth everything ran and how easy it was to get started with Speedway Hits.

Advantages:

2:1 exchange ratio, this is fairly standard. You can upgrade to receive up to a 1:3 exchange ratio.

I know this goes off the path of “free traffic” but I do think the cheap upgrades are worth mentioning. Also, until they reach 1000 members, you’ll have the opportunity to sign up with a lifetime speed racer account with a one time payment.

Disadvantages:

Slow returns on traffic. I bet this is due to the fact that so many people are signing up with paid accounts and then not returning to actually surf. Once more free members join, the members should start receiving traffic much quicker.

Totally untargeted traffic.

One button surfing could theoretically lead to cheating.

There are certainly some kinks to work out of the system before it is perfected, but it is well worth getting in early. Speedway Hits. may be brand new, but it is certainly worth checking out.

In any kind of exchange, be it traffic, link, banner, etc… there is always an exchange ratio. For instance, if you’re using a traffic exchange it is likely that your website will be shown to one person for every 2 or 3 websites you view. That would mean that there is a 2:1 or 3:1 exchange ratio.

The first number is what you must do, the second number is what you get. For instance, some banner exchanges have a 3:2 exchange ratio. This means, that for every three banners you show, yours is shown twice.

Why do we need an exchange ratio?
Why can’t we just get a 1:1 exchange all the time?
Well, it’s never that simple. In order to provide the best service possible, most exchanges NEED to make sure that you actually earn less than 1:1 ratio. In fact, I am always VERY skeptical towards exchanges with a 1:1 ratio… because it usually means it isn’t going to last. It’s very difficult to support an exchange like that, especially if there are bonuses on top of such a high exchange ratio. Here are some common reasons an exchange might have an uneven exchange ratio:

To reward those who surf/earn credits more or more often.

To reward people for referring others.

To reward people for the credits earned by their downlines.

To reward people randomly for contests/games/prizes/etc…

To be able to offer better exchange ratios to paid members.

To ensure that they can actually deliver on the exchange as promised.

The last point is very important. If an exchange has people earning more than they can provide, then they’ve got a big problem. Having lower exchange ratios allows them to actually deliver the traffic they promise to. This is why it is a good idea to be very skeptical of any service that offers a 1:1 ratio for free members.
